Thanksgiving

In the New Testament, thanksgiving is offered to God for the following things:

*For food (Matt. 15:36; Mark 8:6; John 6:11; Acts 27:35; 1 Tim. 4:3)
*For the Lord's Supper (Matt. 26:27; Mark 14:23; Luke 22:17, 19; 1 Cor. 11:24)
*For seeing Jesus (Luke 2:38)
*For healing (Luke 17:16)
*For victory over sin (Rom. 6:17, 7:25; 1 Cor. 15:57; 2 Cor. 2:14)
*For God's grace (1 Cor. 1:4)
*For answered prayer (2 Cor. 1:11)
*For the privilege of participating in the spread of the gospel (2 Cor. 2:14)
*For faithful, believing friends (2 Cor. 8:16; Phil. 1:3)
*For generosity given and received (2 Cor. 9:6-15)
*For the faith and love of fellow believers (Eph 1:15-16; Col. 1:3; 1 Thess. 1:2-3, 3:8; 2 Thess. 1:3)
*For everything (Eph 5:20; Col. 3:17; 1 Tim. 4:4)
*With petition (Phil. 4:6)
*For spiritual inheritance (Col. 1:12)
*While walking with Christ (Col. 2:7
*For deeds done in Jesus' name (Col. 3:17)
*In watchful prayer (Col. 4:2)
*In all circumstances (1 Thess. 5:18)
*For election (2 Thess. 2:13)
*For all people (1 Tim. 2:1)
*For the everlasting God (Rev. 4:9, 7:12, 11:17)
